Villa Marmarine, located in Candanay Sur, Siquijor, Siquijor, is a four-cottage resort with a two-storey restaurant, a tennis court and a dive shop. It opened its doors for business in 2005. It is owned by a Japanese national, Mr. Toshito Harada, a former elementary school teacher. The atmosphere here is homey. If you are looking for peace and quiet you will surely get it here. This resort is not crowded and at times you have the resort all by yourself. At night, you can light a torch and watch the fishes swimming. Room rates at Villa Marmarine are pretty reasonable. If you are traveling alone, you can get an executive room for just P1,400.00 or US$32 at an exchange rate of P43 to $1. But that would be very boring, go with a group of six and the price tag is just P2,600.00. For longer stays, there is a standard room that comes with a kitchen. They also have wireless LAN internet connection, satellite TV and a minibar. A guided tour is also being offered, which is optional. |
