Planning a trip to Siquijor? Getting to Siquijor is easy, whether by air or by sea.
By Air - Visitors with deep pockets can charter a plane from Dumaguete City or from Cebu City but the shortest route would be the one coming from Dumaguete City. Please be advised however that the feeder airport situated in Cal-awang can only accommodate light aircrafts at this time. It is currently being upgraded to accommodate commercial flights.
By Sea - Siquijor has three major seaports strategically located in the towns of Larena, Siquijor and Lazi. The Larena port can accommodate ships of 500 tons. This port connects Siquijor to the neighboring islands of Bohol, Cebu, Negros, and Mindanao. Siquijor port connects Siquijor to Negros while Lazi port connects the island to Mindanao, Cebu, Bohol and Negros.
It’s so easy to get here whether you are an international visitor or a local. If you are an international visitor and your point of entry is Manila, it is suggested that you get a connecting flight to Dumaguete City, unless you have other travel plans in Manila. Dumaguete City is the shortest way to get into Siquijor Island. If your point of entry is Cebu City, you can take the fast ferries or ships navigating the Cebu-Larena route or charter a plane. We strongly recommend however that before you make any travel plans that you consult your travel agent for guidance.
For local travelers, your entry point to Siquijor should be Dumaguete City, unless you are coming from Cebu or Bohol. There are many trips to choose from in Dumaguete City. This is the most convenient route to take. If you miss one trip you can easily hop in to the next one.
